Having moved to Inishmore in 2019, we started renovating Port Aran House to open to the public in 2021.

Our goal was to create a contemporary boutique style retreat which would bring new (and return) visitors to this very special part of the world along the Wild Atlantic Way. Port Aran House brings together our love of all things Arainn. Quality Irish design and local art, home baked food, local heritage and, of course, the opportunity to explore the amazing beaches and historic monuments that are just on our doorstep.

Since we opened in 2021, our guests have responded and embraced that vision and, we hope, leave the island with a real connection to this place, its people and its heritage. It has been a particular joy to welcome so many first time visitors to Inishmore not just from Ireland but from all over the world.
